All the chairs with 5 digits are 2nd generation chairs ( with the exception of the 45003) and have C-Max®foam seats for extra comfort and some have hidden cup holders or ambient lighted bases.
The cups are in the arm and retract with a push to the arm face and they pop-out, or under arm rest, where arm rest slides back to reveal cups. Most of these also have
a cup inside of a cup, where a metal cup is nested inside of the plastic cup, making the metal cup removable for cleaning.
The smaller recliners are usually well suited when you have room constraints and you need to put more chairs into smaller spaces. These chairs have only 38.5 tall back, and if you are 5'8"-5'9" or less you should get head support. Berkline has a newer model 45004, which has similar small footprint, but with the taller back at 41.5. It is a great alternative for people who face smaller space problems
but need or want a taller back.
The mid sized recliners will fit most people. They are 41-42 height and will provide head support. Most of them also wider and feel more comfortable (although this is very subjective factor).
The larger recliners are taller (some of them also wider than mid sized ones). These support someone as tall as 64 and more. The 099,45002,45012,and 45014 style group is for big or tall people. The seats are 25-26.5" inches inside width and the tallest at 45.5".
Most of the medium and large chairs are based on the 090 style group if they have 3 digits numbers. For example 073, 45003, 091, 187 and 094 all have the same base as 090s. The major difference is in shape, type or height of the back cushion. The 187 is the same chair as the 094. The 094 has additional compartments in the armrest of the chairs and retractable trays which can be mounted on top of the armrests. The 094 is more expensive because of that.
The 45002 and 45014 series has a power head rest and power recline as a standard feature.
All chairs come in various covers fabric, leather/vinyl combo or 100% all over leather.
There are 4 fabric and 4 leather price groups. The most popular fabrics are microfibers which can be found in group 1 and group 2 fabrics. Group 2 fabric is a slightly better - thicker and richer looking fabric. Leather choices start with an entry level group 1 leather and go all the way to the buttery soft group 4 leather.
You have several options you can choose:
Power recline This is a very important option. We sell this option about 65% of the time.The manual recliners have 3 fixed positions where you can stop the chair. You will probably
spend most of your time in the first reclining position which is extremely comfortable one. But when watching a movie for several hours you
will definitely want to change your position once or twice. You will find yourself trying to balance your chair because you cannot really hold it
in between the fixed positions,depending on the body weight of the individual. The motorized recline will give you infinite control
over your chair, and will let you stop it at any point you want up or down. You also have to remember that if you have kids or older people sitting in the chairs,
they may not have enough strength to bring the manual recliners into the upright position (you have to press with your legs on the footrest to do so).
This means that every time they want to get up, you will have to help them bring the chair up to close.I will say that Berkline has one of the smoothest manual reclining mechanisms in the industry.
Factory installed buttkicker shakers Many people have a misconception that if they have a powerful enough subwoofer or two, they do not really need the buttkickers.
That may be definitely be the case. But the buttkicker does not replace the subwoofers, nor the subwoofers can replace the buttkickers.
The buttkickers will enchance the subwoofers, and in a properly tuned system will create a very realistic Right there in the movie effect.
If there is explosions, gunfire, etc, you will feel like your are in the movie. The key is a properly tuned system. It does not matter if you have one or 2 subwoofers or very expensive ones .
An external amp by Buttkicker will be needed to make the shakers shake for your system. Up to 4 chairs on a 1 amp for the LFE shakers or 8 chairs on the mini buttkicker.A sub out on the receiver is needed to make this work. The Sony integerated receivers
will not work generally with the buttkicker, you will need a regular decent receiver for this.
Lighted cup holders for units that have exposed cups (not hidden ones) you can order this feature. They work when the lights are dimmed all the way down
a sensor on cup will cause the cups to illuminate , very subtle. They cups have a reflective material with a mini rope light inside which makes them light up, enough to find your chair during a movie.
Neat feature. These require a connection 110 plug connection for each row.Chairs in that row daisychain together if arm to arm and than plugs into wall.
